Bayside Mini World Cup

To conclude the exam period and to celebrate the spirit of the World Cup.  We had our own Bayside Mini World Cup with teams competing in an indoor soccer competition.

It was competitive, fun and students witnessed some triumphant ball skills and talent.

Well done to all involved.

Be a Learner

Our College expectation of Be a Learner applies to all in our school community including staff.

Our staff have been working in teams to review our practices around explicit teaching and other elements of the new Victorian Teaching and Learning Model 2.0.  We also spent time looking at our recent NAPLAN Data.  We are excited about the results released so far and took the time to celebrate the growth and achievement of students but also plan for the remainder of the year and our targets for next year.

Year 7 Camp Kangaroobie

As a College, we believe that our students deserve the opportunity to experience learning outside of the classroom, and the Kangaroobie Camp is a fantastic opportunity for just that.

A record number of students attended, which was fantastic, and we thank everyone for supporting the camps program, especially when we know times are tough.

We also want to acknowledge everyone’s patience and understanding with the delayed return. The upside was an early dinner of hot chips!

Next term we have the Upper Primary Camp to The Summit and would like as many students as possible involved.  The school is open to supporting families if you would like your child to attend. Please contact us to discuss the many options available to facilitate this.

Year 9 Transition and Pathways

Our Year 9s have a robust transition program that provides immersion into the Paisley Campus with two Paisley Days. These days are followed by an information evening and then 1:1 sessions with our Pathways Co‑ordinator to confirm their Year 10 subject selections.

To support student pathways, our Year 9s will be participating in a range of activities and events that provide information, experiences and programs such as:

  • City Experience
  • Morrisby Careers Survey
  • Work Ready Programs

A select group of interested Year 9 and Year 10s participated in a beauty academy workshop. It was a great opportunity for students to have practical hands‑on experience in the field. More workshops are being planned next term.
