CELEBRATING OUR FAITH

Celebrating Our Faith
Our school community focuses on the profound presence of the Holy Spirit and the enduring call to serve others with a "Hope Filled Future."
The Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church
On Monday, 18 May, we observe the Feast of Mary, Mother of the Church. Following our beautiful Mother’s Day celebrations, this feast day allows us to reflect on Mary as a model of faith and discipleship. We look to her example of saying "Yes" to God’s plan, encouraging our students to find their own ways to say "Yes" to kindness and service within our school.
A Journey Toward Pentecost
This week serves as a significant time of preparation as we approach the end of the Easter season. Our classroom reflections will focus on the Fruits of the Spirit, specifically looking at how Love, Joy, and Peace manifest in our playground and learning spaces.
"May the God of hope fill you with all joy and peace as you trust in him, so that you may overflow with hope by the power of the Holy Spirit." — Romans 15:13
Faith in Action
In alignment with our Joey’s Award focus on Respect, we are challenging our students to see "the face of Christ" in one another.
Whether it is through a shared game at recess or a quiet word of encouragement in the classroom, our faith is lived out through the respect we show to every member of our community.
Dear God,
As we look toward a Hope Filled Future, help us to be people of Respect. Thank you for the advocates in our lives—our families, the skilled helpful adults in our school and our friends. May your Holy Spirit guide our words and actions this week. Amen.
St Carlos Acutis Exhibition
Bishop Peter Murphy has had the vision of the millennial Saint Carlo Acutis being accessible to the young people of our diocese to inspire faith and to turn their gaze toward God. To that end he has purchased resources that make up a travelling exhibition of St Carlo Acutis including an actual relic.
The St Carlo Acutis travelling exhibition of life, works and relics began on October 12 2025 and have continued to pilgrimage around the diocese to schools and parishes across the Diocese throughout 2026. St Joseph's Warialda will host the exhibition on 22 / 23 June 2026. We look forward to sharing more information with you as the time is closer.

Our Diocese is thrilled to announce the launch of our 2026 Art Competition: "Mary: Our Mother." This is a unique opportunity for students from Kindergarten to Year 12 to express their faith and creativity.
Whether it is a painting of the Annunciation, a drawing of Our Lady of Guadalupe, or a modern digital portrait of Mary’s strength, we want to see your vision!
