Walk Safely to School Day – Friday 22nd May 2026

It’s that time of year again when the focus turns to getting active—one step at a time. Walk Safely to School Day encourages all families to reflect on daily travel habits and look for simple ways to incorporate more walking into everyday routines.

While walking the entire journey to school may not be practical for everyone, there are still plenty of ways to build walking into the day:

  • Walk part or all of the way to school

  • If catching public transport, consider walking to the next stop

  • If driving, park a few blocks away and walk the remainder of the journey

Regular physical activity, such as walking, supports overall health and wellbeing. It can help reduce the risk of chronic conditions including heart disease and diabetes, while also supporting positive mental health and behaviour. Walking together also provides valuable opportunities to model and teach safe road and traffic behaviours.

Active kids are healthy kids—start planning now for how walking can be part of the journey on Friday 22 May 2026.

Our next Working Bee which was scheduled for Saturday 30th May has been postponed.

A notice for the rescheduled working bee will be sent to families.

School Crossings

We ask that all students and parents are use the School Crossings that are clearly marked and manned as these are safe ways to cross the road. The Crossing Supervisor have also notified us that this is a concern  and have  asked  that parents and students use the designated crossings when crossing Bunney or Springs Road.

Term 2 Winter Uniform

All students should now be wearing their full winter uniform. This includes the correct socks and shoes. Students are only to be in their sport uniform on the days that they have P.E.
