Parents' Association

Spoil the Staff Day
We had a wonderful Spoil the Staff Day last Wednesday 12th November. We would like to thank all of the parent volunteers who helped on the day along with huge thanks to the parent volunteers who cooked and provided the food on the day. Most of the food was home cooked by a range of families from the school community.
The staff were truly spoiled with food ranging from a variety of cheeses, charcuterie cups, variety of curries, handmade dumplings, spanikopita, with some wonderful fried rice, stir fried vegetables and roast chicken from Hainan Chicken who regularly support our school. The meal was finished off with a range of desserts including tarts, lemon slice, homemade baklava and an amazing gourmet dessert box.
The teachers really appreciated the home made spread along with the touches of the kids messages and pictures. It is a lovely way to thank them for all they do for our children.
Second Hand Uniform
A big call out as we come towards the end of the year!!
Please remember to bring in any school uniform items that your children no longer need. We are in short supply and want to be able to offer second hand uniform sales more often throughout the year. If you have any bags, hats folders or uniform items them please bring them in asap.
Green Team Book Sale
This is fast approaching and the PA are working hard with the green team to get this organised for the end of next week. We will need lots of helpers across the day to help sell to students during the day and then we'll open up to families after school. Please if you can spare some time sign up on the link.
This is an exciting new initiative with so many fantastic books to choose from. We will need lots of volunteers to help our budding readers to choose their books. There's also a great selection of adult books for the rest of the family as well.
Parents Association AGM
The end of the year is fast approaching which means that our next PA meeting will be the last for the year. That means that it will be the AGM. It will be next Wednesday 26th Nov at 6:30pm. I would like to invite you to consider joining the Parents association. If you have any questions then please reach out to myself or the office and we would love to welcome you to the team. It is a fun and rewarding team to be a part of.
Invitation to the Parents’ Association
The Parents' Association is a committee run by parents and carers of our school whose focus is to build a positive community and school spirit, and to support the work of the Principal and School Council. The committee represents the voice of parents and friends of the school.
The PA is responsible for many of the events that our students love throughout the year including the Easter Raffle, the Mothers and Fathers’ Day Stalls, Hot Dog Day and handing out icy poles and fruit at sports events. We also support the school’s fundraising initiatives and thank our wonderful staff on “Spoil the Staff Day”.
Our Annual General Meeting will be held on Wednesday 26th November at 6.30pm in the Conference Room.
This is an excellent time to join the PA as a registered member or Office Bearer. We have 8 meetings per year, and these are held in the conference room (near reception in the new building). Meetings run for approximately 1 hour and are always attended by our Principal.
If you are interested in joining the Committee, please read through the attached Constitution of Parents’ Association and complete the form on the last page. Please hand your form into the office by 25th November.
Being a member of the Parents’ Association is a wonderful way to support the whole school community. We look forward to welcoming you to the committee.
Thank you and hope to see you at the upcoming events.

PA President
