Science

Year 1 students learnt about and observed the different beaks of birds. They were able to identify what food a bird might eat, based on the type of beak that it has.

Last week, in celebration of National Science Week, year 2 students learnt about the Murchison Meteorite, through the story ‘Lucky’s Star’. Did you know that it is the most researched meteorite in the world and that the star dust found in it is approximately 7 billion years old?! That’s older than our solar system!

After listening to the story (read online by the author), students enjoyed being rock detectives, finding and observing rocks in the school yard.
