Confirmation
On Thursday evening at St Brigid's Church, the Year 6 students renewed their baptismal promises and were sealed with the gift of the Holy Spirit. Father Madry, the Episcopal Vicar of the Southern region, confirmed the students and in his homily expressed the excitement of new beginnings for our students, where life can feel like it is all about beginnings- new friendships, new experiences, and new dreams for their future. They may experience the sadness of endings but what is most important is 'the middle'. The middle can sometimes be ordinary and mundane for many young people, but the gift of Confirmation invites them to think, not only about where they are starting, but also about the “middle of their life.” This middle is not defined by age, but by the choices they make every day, in the ordinariness of their lives, as they grow into the person God calls them to be.
The middle of life is where faith becomes real. It is where they decide how to treat others, how to respond to challenges, and how to live out the values they believe in. It is not always easy, but it is where strength, courage, and character are formed. Confirmation reminds us that we are not alone in this journey, the Holy Spirit is with us, guiding and supporting us.
As our Year 6 students move forward, may they remember that life is not just about reaching a future goal, it is about living fully in each moment, especially in the “middle,” where our faith is tested and strengthened. This is where our story truly takes shape. May they use the Gifts and Fruits of the Holy Spirit to live their lives according to Gospel values.
A huge thank you to our wonderful Yr 6 teachers- Eva Traynor, Kellie Barnhoorn and George Lithomotos who prepared the students so beautifully and guided them on their journey towards receiving the Sacrament of Confirmation.

Year 1 Class Masses
Our Yr 1 students celebrated their Class Masses on Tuesday and Thursday. They were so respectful and reverent. Many parishioners commented on how well the students read and how beautifully they sang. It was heartwarming to see so many parents there supporting their children at these liturgical celebrations.
The theme for their masses was "Jesus, We Trust in You."
In the Gospel stories, the disciples learned to listen to Jesus and trust him. Even when they were afraid, Jesus was with them and helped them. Students were taught that Jesus reminds us that we do not need to be afraid either because he loves us and cares for us every day.
