Good afternoon families,

Thank you to the many parents who have reached out to share their warm wishes following my recent announcement regarding my retirement at the end of this school year. Your kind words mean so much to me.

Today is the Feast of St Mary MacKillop. St Mary of the Cross is the first Australian saint and the patron saint of our parish. The school will celebrate this feast day on Monday with a liturgy in each class.

Faith & Celebrations

Congratulations to our Year 6 students who received the Sacrament of Confirmation on Thursday evening. We extend our sincere gratitude to Father Michael, Mrs. Douglas, and our dedicated Year 6 teachers for guiding and supporting our students through this meaningful step in their faith journey.

Upcoming School Review

On Monday, we will begin our formal School Review—an essential evaluative process that takes place every four years to help reflect on our progress and shape our future direction.

Our reviewer, Craig Tanner, will conduct an initial meeting with the Senior Leadership Team on Monday. He will return on Monday, 17 August and Tuesday, 18 August to meet with leadership, teachers, Learning Support Officers, students from Years 3–6, parents, and Father Michael. A comprehensive final report will be compiled and shared with the school community in October.

I am looking forward to this collaborative process and feel exceptionally confident in the many achievements and successes we will have to celebrate!

Thanks to all of the families who have volunteered to help our PFA fundraising sausage sizzle next at Bunnings Keysborough on Sunday 16 August. We still require some people for the 11am - 2pm shift. If can do part of or all of it, please contact Fiona Jackson on 0466 525 155
