Intermediate Cricket Report – Samuel Partridge Year 10J

On the 22nd of February, the Staughton College Intermediate Boys Cricket team travelled to Arnolds Creek to play the first stage of the competition. After having a bye in round 1, our boys came up against a spirited Kurunjang Secondary College team, but our boys came away with a well fought victory, and are moving through to the next round against Gisborne. The Staughton team lost the toss and bowled first in very hot conditions. Good spells from Samuel, Aban, Hassan, Abis, Jujhar and Kiri kept Kurunjang to a score in the 40s off their 10 overs. Classy knocks from Hassan, Abis and Jujhar guided the Staughton team over the line with ease.
