Year 4 Stewardship

Recently the year 4 stewards have been involved in projects raising awareness of environmental issues within our community. The target group was the 2024 Prep students. The year 4 students made personalised books for the 2024 Preps that teach them how to care for the planet. The students wrote and illustrated these books by hand. They did a fabulous job. These were placed in the showbags for the 2024 Prep students today. 

Another project involved reusing materials to make gift tags to attach to lavender sachets. Our target group this time was our Parish community. In the foyer of the Church we have placed these sachets with gift tags made by the students, and have invited any Parishioners to take one during the Advent season.

HELP!!! Holiday Roster for Chicken Care.

We are again seeking help from our community to volunteer time during the holiday break to come up to school and help care for our chickens. This requires a minimum of 30 mins and it is also a great way to entertain the kids for free during the holidays. For those of you who have helped before and are available and willing to help out again, please email me with time periods you are free. For anyone new willing to give it a go but would like more information, please email me: adeegan@sjwheelershill.catholic.edu.au

The dates requiring volunteers include from Saturday 16th December through to Sunday 28th January. It is quite a long time, therefore we would appreciate all the help we can get, and offers of more than one day if possible. 

Please consider offering to help - it is very easy and fun for the kids.
