What's happening in Years 10, 11 and 12.
As 2023 comes to an end, Senior School students are able to proudly reflect upon a journey marked by achievement, growth and overcoming challenges.
Our Year 10 and Year 11 students successfully completed their internal end of Semester examinations. These examinations not only provide students with an opportunity to demonstrate academic achievement through assessment, but they also provide students with an opportunity to prepare for upcoming Year 12 examinations. Students had the opportunity to practice adhering to the requirements of examination conditions that mirror what is expected by the externally administered exams at Year 12. Our Year 10 and Year 11 students attended a final assembly prior to these examinations to reflect upon positive achievements from 2023, and to also prepare in advance for their examinations.
Our College community is extremely proud of our Year 12 students who completed their end of year examinations. Our teachers have worked hard very hard with our students to prepare for these examinations through 2023. The ability of our students to successfully complete these examinations demonstrates their determination and resilience. Regardless of the results achieved, we are proud of each and every student with their efforts not only during 2023, but throughout their time at Glenroy College. We wish every student every success for their future pathway.
The Senior Sub School will look a bit different next year as Mrs Peach moves to a new leadership role at Glenroy College and Ms Lynch takes the reins as Senior Sub School Manager. Next year, year 11 and 12 students will have Ms Rzasowski as VCE coordinator and Ms Gangi as VCEVM coordinator. Year 10’s will have Ms Summers as their coordinator. Along with these amazing senior subs school professionals, all Glenroy College Staff are invested in our students learning and achievement. We hope to foster the positive environment that has been set up in our school this year and hope all students in 2024 can have the support and achievement that they deserve as we “Aspire Together”.
Year 10's had a great time constructing and completing their boards. Hopefully there will be some cooking or chess games involving our beautiful Jarrah and pine chopping boards over the holiday season!
