SCC students Reuben and Annabelle, together with Mr Hugh Richardson, represented Southern Christian College and laid a wreath at the Remembrance Day service on Osborn Esplanade, Kingston Beach, on Monday 11 November.
We were delighted this year to see so many of our students choose to participate in the ICAS competitions. The papers are designed to challenge high potential students by providing them with questions that require the application of critical thinking skills.
We have now received the results for our students. Next week, we will be presenting students with certificates of participation and will recognise those students who have received special commendation for those who have achieved a Merit, Credit, Distinction or High Distinction.
Secondary students will be presented with their certificates of completion at next week's assembly, on Tuesday, 19 November at 11:15am.
A special Primary assembly will be held next Tuesday, 19 November at 2:30pm. We warmly invite parents to join us to join us to see their children recognised.
Four of our students have been awarded medals for achieving the highest score in the Tasmania for their year group in one or more of their subjects. This special achievement will be recognised at our end of year awards events.
You are invited to view the bodies of artwork created by our Visual Arts 3, Art Studio Practice 3, Media Production 3, Computer Graphics 2 students on Wednesday 20 November 6-7pm
This Friday, 15 November, the team from Makers Market will be selling bolognaise, butter chicken, and hot chips from the kitchen while supplies last.
Primary students will be served first from 1pm. Secondary students will have the chance to buy a meal from 1:15pm.
Prices are as follows:
No need to pre-order, but it may be a good idea to pack a larger recess just in case the meals sell out more quickly than expected. Gluten free and dairy free options will be available, again, while supplies last.
Bring your cash and enjoy a hot lunch this Friday. We'll see you in the kitchen.

Southern Christian College Kindergarten will be hosting Pre-Kinder sessions throughout the month of November on Thursday mornings from 9:30-11:30am. Already enrolled and new families with children entering Kinder in 2025 are invited to attend. Sessions are for one parent and child.
Sessions are designed to be relaxed and will allow your child to become familiar with their classroom, peers and teachers prior to starting Kinder in 2025.

ALL Library books need to be returned by Friday 30 November. No borrowing after this date.
Please look under beds and on book shelves and see which class can find all their books.
Thank you for the faithful students and parents who regularly return their books!
A reminder that all students should be now wearing their formal summer uniform. With a number of special assemblies and events approaching this is very important.
