AEROSCHOOL AEROBICS

Our 5 fabulous teams!

Congratulations to our five aerobics teams that participated in the Victorian AeroSchool Aerobics Championships on Thursday 30th of July in Thornbury. Our thirty-two girls represented our school with amazing pride and were such great role models for our school, showing wonderful team-spirit, energy, encouragement, support, along with a positive mind-set. A special thank you to all the student’s parents for their support in preparing their daughter for the day, with outfits and all logistics involved. We would also like to express a heartfelt thank you to Kellie A. for her amazing management of the teams and support with Mrs Thompson on the day of the event. Thank you also to Sarah G for her bus and team support on the day as well. It will take a long time to get the ‘Houdini’ song out of our minds - but it now brings about so many lovely memories from the day.

We congratulate two of our teams who excitingly placed in the top 6 within their division, qualifying for Nationals! This is such a wonderful outcome for our girls! Many of these families have now made a decision to attend this National Championships event in Queensland at the Gold Coast Sports and Leisure Centre in mid-September! Woohoo! Later this term we hope to have all five teams perform their routine at Assembly - stay tuned for this special watch! We also hope to show our support for these two teams' Nationals experience’, by supporting a mini-fundraiser they hope to host in the next few weeks. More details will be shared very soon.

DISTRICT ATHLETICS TEAM ANNOUNCED

We congratulate the 75 Year 3-6 students that are to represent our school at the Dendy District Athletics Carnival on Friday 28th of August at Duncan McKinnon Reserve.

Parents - please look out for the Nforma permission and information email this week for all details. Please help us in offering to volunteer your time & efforts in a 70min shift to help run the Triple Jump event. Thank you!

REGIONAL HOOPTIME DATES

Diary these dates now!

We are very excited for our five teams that won their District HoopTime tournament and are now set for Regional HoopTime next term. Please find all team’s dates and venue’s below. Teams will begin training at lunchtime & snack times in Week 7 (after Science Week). Training days will be advised via Seesaw messages to alert them of days to wear sports uniform.

NOTE: All Regional Hooptime dates are in Term 4
