Term 3 Week 7 & 8

Something very exciting happened in Week 7! Our staff were given the opportunity to step onto the building site for a special walk-through of our new Learning Centre and Administration Building.

It was fantastic for staff to finally step inside the spaces we have been watching take shape over the past months. Being able to walk through the new learning spaces, classrooms and administration areas gave everyone a much better sense of just how amazing our new facilities are going to be.

There was plenty of excitement as staff explored the spaces, pictured where everything will go and started imagining what our school will look like once we move in.

After seeing the progress from the outside for so long, being able to walk through the buildings was a very special milestone for our staff. It certainly made the new school feel much more real!

We can't wait for the day when our students get to experience these wonderful new spaces too!

Term 3 Week 5 & 6

Our new building is really starting to feel like a school!

There has been plenty of activity on site recently, with the finishing touches continuing to take shape. External areas are looking much more complete, with pathways, garden beds and landscaping beginning to transform the spaces around the building.

Inside, work is continuing as the different trades move through the final stages of construction and fit-out. It is exciting to see the spaces we have been talking about for so long becoming a reality.

With every visit to the site, there is something new to see. We are getting closer and closer to being able to welcome our students and staff into these fantastic new facilities. We can't wait to share the finished spaces with our school community!

The new Administration Building is also coming along, with the external walls, windows, doors now giving us a much clearer picture of the finished building. Work is continuing inside as the different trades move through the next stages of the fit-out.

It is amazing to see how much the site has changed over the past few weeks. There is still plenty to be completed, but every week brings us one step closer to having these fantastic new spaces ready for our students and staff.

Term 3 Week 3 & 4

Progress on our building project continues to move along steadily.

Internal fit-out works are now well underway, with trades working throughout the buildings to prepare classrooms and office spaces. Outside, bricklaying and cladding are beign installed.

As we prepare for the demolition of part of Building A, you may notice some changes in the library area. To allow for the building to be safely divided, temporary walls and doors have been installed. These changes will help ensure the safety of our students and staff while construction work continues.

While there is still plenty of work to be completed, it's exciting to see our new facilities coming to life. We appreciate the patience and understanding of our school community as construction continues and look forward to sharing more updates as we move closer to completion.

Term 3 Week 1 & 2

There has been plenty of activity around the school over the holiday break, with our landscaping works continuing to make great progress.

The outdoor areas are really starting to take shape, with pathways, garden beds and open spaces becoming more defined each week. These improvements will create welcoming, engaging and functional spaces for our students to learn, play and connect.

One noticeable change has been the removal of the old vines. While it is sad to see them go, they have been part of Swan Hill North Primary School for many years and hold countless memories for generations of students, staff and families. As we honour the past, we also look forward to creating new memories in our beautifully transformed outdoor spaces for many years to come.

The new Administration Building is progressing rapidly, with the brickwork flying along over the past few weeks. It's exciting to see the building really taking shape.

The installation of the windows and doors is now underway, marking another significant milestone in the project. With each stage completed, our new administration building is looking more like the welcoming and modern facility our school community has been eagerly anticipating.

Term 2 Week 9 & 10

The Learning Centre is almost complete, and it's exciting to see the landscaping beginning to take shape. Each week brings visible progress, and we can't wait to welcome students into this fantastic new space that will provide modern, engaging learning opportunities for years to come.

The Administration Building is coming along beautifully. The external wrapping is giving us a glimpse of just how impressive the building will look when it's finished. We look forward to seeing how much progress is made while we're away on the school holidays.

Term 2 Weeks 7 & 8

Progress continues across all areas of our building project, with contractors working steadily to bring the spaces closer to completion.

While there may not be major visible changes from week to week, many important smaller jobs are currently being completed throughout each building. These finishing touches are essential in preparing the spaces for staff and students and ensuring everything is ready for use.

Work continues in the Learning Centre, Administration Building, and surrounding outdoor areas, with tradespeople busy installing fixtures, fittings, services, and final details throughout the site.

Term 2 Weeks 5 & 6

Lots has been happening inside the Back Learning Centre, and we can’t wait to get inside and see the progress for ourselves.

More framing has also gone up in the main Administration Building, and it is wonderful to watch the spaces continue to take shape.

Term 2 Weeks 3 & 4

The scaffolding has now come down on the back Learning Centre, and it’s exciting to see the building really taking shape. Tradies have been busy in and out completing a range of works as the project continues to move ahead.

With the trees now removed, we can now see from the road just how large the new main Administration Building will be. The roof is almost complete, and the framework is progressing quickly, giving us a clear picture of where the rooms and spaces will be located.

Term 2 Week 1 & 2

Quite a bit has happened over the holiday period, and it’s great to see such strong progress on site.

The brickwork is coming along beautifully and is really starting to showcase the quality of the build. At the same time, the frame for the main administration building is now up, marking another major milestone for the project. The large crane was back and lifted the roof sheet up and we see the removal of some trees.

It’s exciting to see everything taking shape.

Week 8 & 9

So much has been happening over the past two weeks. The slab has now been poured for the front office building, marking an exciting milestone in the project. Scaffolding is also going up, and it’s great to see the progress taking shape. There has been plenty of activity on site as the builders continue moving the project forward.

The back Learning Centre is also coming along in leaps and bounds, with windows and doors now being installed. It’s exciting to see the building really starting to take shape as more features are added each week.

Week 6 & 7

Our building crews have been hard at work preparing the area out the front of the school for the next concrete slab. There has been plenty of activity on site as the team continues to make steady progress with the project.

It’s exciting to see the next stage taking shape, and we look forward to sharing more updates as the work continues.

Week 4 & 5

The past two week has been full of progress in the back learning centre. The internal walls are coming together nicely, and wrapping has already been installed.

Monday, week 5 was especially exciting, with a massive crane on site to lift the roof sheeting over the buildings and into place.

Term 1 - 2026 - Week 3

Lots has been happening over the holiday break and throughout the first three weeks of school. Our building project is making great progress, with the builders now installing the internal frames for the classrooms in the back learning centre. It’s exciting to see the spaces starting to take shape and imagine the learning that will soon take place inside them.

The slab has also been poured for the new office building, marking another important milestone. With each step forward, we are getting closer to seeing the finished result, and we look forward to sharing more updates as the work continues.

Term 4 - Week 10 & 11

The full frame is up for the classrooms.

The shape of the new office buildings is starting to take form, and we can’t wait until 2026 to see the progress made over the holiday period.

Term 4 - Week 8 & 9

This week marked an exciting milestone, with a crane onsite to install the frame for the new classrooms at the back of the school. It’s great to see the build progressing, and the design is looking fantastic

Term 4 - Week 6 & 7

Although it looks like slow works at them moment, there is lots happening in the ground.

Term 4 - Week 5 & 6

Over the past two weeks, we’ve seen significant progress on site, with the playgrounds and rotunda now removed to make way for the next stage of construction. Work has also begun on installing new underground services in preparation for the new front office building. Exciting developments are well underway as our school continues to grow.

Term 4 - Week 4

The big excavator is back on site!

While it’s a little sad to see the old buildings — and all the memories they hold — coming down, it’s also an exciting step forward in our redevelopment. Demolition has begun on the west end of Building A, with the former Year 3/4 and AUSLAN classrooms, along with the Junior toilets, expected to be cleared by the end of the week.

The concrete has been poured for our new Classroom Learning Centre — we can’t wait to see the next stage take shape!

Term 4 - Week 3

It’s been a big week on site with the demolition crew back in action!

The roof of the shade shed has come off and the beams have been cut, ready for crushing.

Inside the west end of building A — the old Year 3/4 and AUSLAN classrooms — a new wall has gone up, and a pathway has been prepared ready for the excavator to roll in and begin the tear-down.

Term 4 - Week Two

Exciting progress on the building site — the building works are moving full steam ahead! With the plastic laid, we’re now ready for the next big step: pouring the concrete.

Building works continued throughout the holidays, with underground services being installed in preparation for the next stage of construction.

Week 8

In Week 8, we took possession of the new relocatable classrooms. Students from 3/4K and 3/4W were very excited to move in and begin their learning in the fresh new space.

Across from the relocatable classrooms, the new building pads are taking shape. It’s exciting to see how the plans are coming together and how the new spaces will fit within our school.

Week 7

This is an exciting week for our 3/4 classes, as their new relocatable classrooms have arrived. After weeks of waiting, the buildings were installed and in place within just a few hours.

Week 6

Monday 25th August the walk way attaching the builds was removed. Along with all cladding that was on the walls.

The Hands on Learning building has be completly cleared away and the roof of the science room has been removed

Week 5

This week we’ve seen some exciting progress with the building works around the school. All the preparation from the electricians, security teams, plumbers, and builders is now starting to show results.

Work has also begun on the back oval for the new relocatable classrooms, which will be arriving on Monday. Plumbers and electricians have been busy digging trenches to supply services to the new buildings.

On Thursday 21st, the Hands on Learning portable was demolished. Students enjoyed watching the excavator at work—it didn’t take long before the building came down!

The demolition crew has also been busy inside Building B which is the Art, Science, and Staffroom areas. On Thursday, we saw some of the roof removed as part of the process.
