Ms Brea Terris

Dear Families,
It certainly feels like Term 3 is flying past when we are already starting to talk about the upcoming school holidays!
It has been lovely to finally see some sunshine and enjoy a few warmer days.
There is still plenty happening at Swan Hill North before the end of the term, and we look forward to sharing some of these activities and celebrations with our school community over the coming weeks.
Hats
A reminder that all students will need to start wearing their hats again from next week.
Please ensure your child has their school hat at school ready to wear during outdoor activities and break times. If your child needs a new hat, these can be purchased from the school office.
Athletics Day
Well done to all of our students who participated in our Athletics Day on Monday. It was lovely to see our whole school out there participating, having a go and supporting one another.
The beautiful sunshine certainly made the day even more enjoyable!
Thank you to all of our parents and families who came along to support our students. A big thank you also to Mrs Sanders for organising the day and to all of our staff for their support in making the day such a success.
Parent Opinion Survey
Our school is conducting the annual Parent / Carer Opinion Survey and is seeking your feedback.
Currently, only 6% of our families have completed the survey. We really need to hear from more families to ensure the feedback we receive is representative of our school community.
If you haven’t completed the survey yet, please take a few minutes to have your say. Your feedback is important!
The survey, offered by the Department of Education, is designed to assist schools in gaining an understanding of families’ perceptions of school climate, student behavior, and student engagement.
The survey is conducted online and only takes 20 minutes to complete. It can be completed on any internet enabled device (desktop computer, laptop, tablet or smartphone) and is compatible with most browsers.
The Parent / Carer Opinion Survey is open from Monday 17 August to Friday 18 September 2026.
To complete the survey, simply:
1. Click on the link below, or copy and paste the text into your browser. This link will take you directly to the survey.
https://research.orima.com/parent
2. Select the School name
3. Enter the School PIN below.
958446
4. When complete, please click on the ‘Submit’ button at the end of the survey to submit your answers. Please note that the survey will time out after 60 minutes of inactivity.
PLEASE NOTE: Only one parent / carer from your household is invited to complete the survey on behalf of the student’s family. Please reach out to your child’s teacher, or the school if your child’s family lives in two separate households, so both households can have the opportunity to provide their feedback.
To protect your responses, please DO NOT share the survey link and PIN with others, or on a public website, forum or similar.
Please be assured that your responses are completely confidential.
The survey is conducted anonymously, and it is important to our school that you complete the survey as honestly as possible.
ORIMA Research, a private research company, is conducting this survey on behalf of the Department of Education. ORIMA Research Pty Ltd has not been and will not be provided with the contact details, names or any other personal identifying information about the parents / carers invited to complete the survey.
The department, the survey supplier (ORIMA Research) and the school can never personally identify you, or see your responses linked with the PIN.
Book Week
What an amazing day we had for our Book Week Parade last week!
It was fantastic to see so many of our students dressed up as their favourite book characters, with such a wonderful variety of creative costumes across the school.
A huge well done to all of our students for getting involved and making the day so much fun.
Thank you also to our families for the time, effort and creativity that went into putting together so many fantastic costumes.
2027 Enrolments
If you know of any families who are considering enrolling their child at Swan Hill North Primary School, please encourage them to contact the school office to arrange a tour. We would love the opportunity to show them around and share everything our school has to offer.
School Uniform
Thank you to all the families who have already completed our School Uniform Survey. Your feedback is very helpful as we work with School Council to review our current Student Dress Code Policy and consider our school uniform into the future.
If you haven’t had the opportunity to complete the survey yet, we would really appreciate you taking a few minutes to share your thoughts. Your feedback is an important part of this process.
Thank you for your support and input.
A friendly reminder that all students are expected to wear the full school uniform each day. This includes wearing black shorts, pants, skirts or skorts as part of our uniform. Blue bottoms are not part of the approved school uniform.
We appreciate your support in ensuring students come to school in the correct uniform each day.
Duty of Care
Families are reminded that teachers are on duty before school from 8.30am-8.50am and after school from 3.20pm until 3.30pm. Children should not be unattended in the school grounds before or after these times. Thank you for your support and co-operation with this.
A big thank you to all of our fathers and special people who joined us for morning tea today. It was wonderful to see so many of you spending time with our students and being part of our school community.
The cheesecakes were certainly a hit, and it was lovely to see how happy and excited the students were to share the morning with their special people.
Thank you to everyone who came along and helped make the morning so special!
We would also like to wish all of our dads, grandfathers and special people a very Happy Father’s Day this Sunday. We hope you have a wonderful day celebrating with your families and enjoy some special time together.
Kind Regards
Brea
