Our Library is a Taonga :

Our Library is a treasure - taonga - and so are our two teachers who look after it, Ms Eyre and Ms Grant. So too are our student librarians, who do a great job each lunch hour. And a final shout-out to the children who regularly visit our library and enjoy all it has to offer.

Our school Whare Pukapuka is a lovely calm space for children to relax, read and enjoy during lunchtimes.

We also have lots of bilingual books representing lots of the cultures and languages spoken at our school.

Speaking of enjoy, I so enjoy seeing children walking to and from school with a book in their hands - reading at every opportunity. These children are on the fast track to success, as loving to read and reading regularly are two of the biggest factors in children's life and learning success.
