Cumberland Arts
Cumberland City Council has opened Expressions of Interest (EOIs) for two new public art projects as part of the Joseph Street Precinct Upgrade in Lidcombe. This program will introduce vibrant visual and digital artworks into the precinct, celebrating the culture, creativity and diversity of our community.
For artists living in, from, or with a strong connection to the Cumberland LGA, this is an opportunity to contribute to a major public art program:
🏳️🎉 Street Banner SeriesDesign a suite of artworks for the inaugural street banner trail along Joseph Street’s eat street.
🎥 Digital Art PlatformSubmit existing video or digital artworks for display on the new digital art screen platform being installed in the upgraded precinct.
For community members and arts supporters, this is a chance to see more contemporary public art taking shape locally — and a great opportunity to share with any artists in your life who may be interested in applying.
EOIs are open now and close Wednesday 18 March at 5:00pm (AEDT).
