5/6 Summit
with Miss Smith

Students in 5/6S are very excited to showcase their learning at the upcoming Grapple Expo. They have been exploring an interesting inquiry project focused on celebrations around the world. This project aims to encourage curiosity, pose rich questions and develop collaborative research skills.

Each group has chosen a celebration they were curious about. These include a wide range of festivals and traditions from different countries and cultures. Students investigated the history, significance and unique customs of their chosen celebration, gaining a deeper appreciation of how people around the world celebrate important events.

Throughout the inquiry process, students have developed valuable skills such as researching with reliable sources, organising their ideas using mind maps, considering their audience, and choosing an appropriate presentation style.
To showcase their learning, students are preparing to present their projects in a variety of creative ways, including posters, slideshows and interactive displays. It will be wonderful to see their hard work come together as they share their knowledge with others.
