Hume City Council: Active Living Plan
We're creating an Active Living Plan to improve the health and well-being of our community by encouraging physical activity and active lifestyles.
Hume is growing – fast. By 2046, we expect over 100,000 more people to live here. To keep up with this growth, we’re making this 20-year plan to make sure everyone in our community can get active and stay active in ways that work for them.
The plan will guide how we allocate money and other resources for sports, parks, and recreation activities in the future.
A crucial part of the process is engaging with our community to learn what matters most to them – specifically in five key areas, including: indoor sport, outdoor sports, aquatic and leisure centres, Sunbury and Aquatic Leisure Centre, casual recreational activities, and football (soccer).
How do you fit into this?
We want to hear from as many people as possible – but we can’t do it without your help.
Schools are at the core of many residents' lives – whether they’re students, parents or staff – that makes you a key link between Council and the community.
Help us spread the word through your channels, so we can stay connected and make sure we’re getting our Active Living Plan right.
