Dear Parents and Families,
Thank you all for another great term of learning and engagement at School of The Good Shepherd. We are looking forward to our Celebration of Learning on Monday afternoon where our students can showcase what they have been working on throughout the Term. We encourage all families to come through to experience and celebrate our learning. We remind families that when we are in the school space, that we are respecting that this is a safe space for our students as they are looking forward to having their parents and families in their classroom.
School Fees were sent home this week. All school fees need to be settled by the end of term 3, as per our fee schedule. There are many ways to pay for our school fees, so please contact Kylie, our school bursar for the details. If families need to discuss alternate arrangements, please ring the office to speak to me directly.
As we move through the colder months, we continue to monitor hygiene so as to keep our germs at bay. Please continue to sanitise regularly, wash hands after coughing or sneezing and disposing of tissues correctly. We hope that the term break is a welcome opportunity to rest our bodies and be ready for Term 3.
The car park continues to be an area of concern for us, as parents are sometimes traveling quite fast trying to drop students off or picking them up in the afternoons. We ask that everyone who is driving in the car park is patient while they are waiting for cars to move. Our students are the responsibility of everyone, so please let us ensure that each student is safe in the car park.
Please read the information that is included on the Learning and Teaching page regarding school reports which will be released via NForma on Wednesday 2nd July after 4pm.
We also take this opportunity to farewell Ms Caithleen Malone who has been our Religious Education leader. Caith has taken up a position, going back to something that is true to her heart and that is teaching RE at Ave Maria College. We thank Caith for her faith filled heart, vast experiences and deep knowledge of the Catholic Faith that she has shared with us over the past few years. We wish Caith all the very very best as she takes up this opportunity.
VISION FOR ENGAGEMENT
The MACS Vision for engagement outlines 6 practices for engagement, which closely align to our current practices:
These engagement practices are:
• Teaching respectful behaviour
• Fostering belonging
• Focusing on attendance
• Promoting mental health and wellbeing
• Enabling motivation

With the launch of this commitment, we are looking forward to further aligning our current practice with our Vision for Engagement.
