In Uncertain Times, Ask These Questions Before You Make a Decision
In today’s perma-crisis world, waiting for stability is like waiting for a train that’s never coming. When everything around you feels unsteady, four questions can serve as strategic tools to help you work through ambiguity, reframe risk, and strengthen your decision-making muscles:
1) What decision today will still make sense a year from now?
2) If a year from now, this decision were used as an example of our leadership, what would it teach?
3) What if this isn’t the storm—what if it’s the climate?
4) What’s the cost of waiting?
Your answers to these questions will reveal faulty assumptions, spotlight hidden opportunities, and help you focus on what’s within your control.
This really works, folks - I've tried it, and so far, it has lasted two weeks.
Apparently, rubbing car wax on and then off, like the Karate Kid, works too.
When the foam trick times out, I will try the car wax and see which one works best/lasts longest.
We typically carry these in the back pocket of our pants. Big mistake! The result is back and hip problems from sitting on it all the time.
Try carrying this essential item in a front pocket. You always have it handy, so it's harder for a thief to pick from your pocket, and your back and hips will thank you.
Here's one more wallet-related hack. Take everything out of your wallet, including credit cards, driver's license, and debit card, and place them on a copier to make a copy.
Flip these items over and copy again.
Take this paper and store it in a safe and secure location at home. Now, if your wallet is lost or stolen, you have a copy of everything in it, including numbers for calling and cancelling credit and debit cards.
Less back trouble and peace of mind.
I moved the thin wallet to the front pocket some years ago, and it's a hack I strongly recommend.l
My current model has a built-in RFD blocker, a slot for a Tile Tracker and another for notes. It features a flick switch that pops up the seven cards it holds. I strongly recommend it.
