Principal's Message
Mrs. Cassie Lynch
Dear Families,
Welcome to the final edition of our newsletter for 2024. We have had an amazing year of learning at Our Lady's and look forward to a break over the holidays. Thank you to all our students, staff and families for the dedication they show on a daily basis to our amazing school. In this weeks edition of the newsletter, we have asked our classrooms to get creative and share some festive love with you all. Please take the time and view these messages from our classroom and specialists.
Last week we came together as a school community for our beautiful End of Year Mass. Within the Mass, we formally farewelled Mrs. Brigid Malcolm along with our Grade 6 Graduates. This ceremony is rich in tradition as we had our Buddies walk their Grade 6 student into Mass for the final time. Thank you to all families who attended this very special event. Thank you also to Mrs. Malcolm for organising this beautiful event.
On Thursday the 12th of December at 6pm our school community will be coming together to celebrate our Grade 6 Class of 2024. This exceptional group of students are excited and nervous to be finishing off their final weeks in Primary school. All families are invited to attend this special event.
On the night, our Grade 6 Graduation Class is encouraged to dress up and celebrate!
We are very proud of our Class of 2024 and look forward to celebrating with them. Their passage through Primary School is now almost complete. We hope that they take all they have learnt in their 7 years of Primary Education and continue to shine in Secondary School.
Students from F-6 are busily preparing for our Christmas Carol Afternoon on Monday the 16th of December at 2pm. Come along and watch us as we sing our hearts out! All families are welcome and we hope that everyone joins in with the singing.
Through our latest School Improvement Review, we were encouraged to develop some mutually beneficial community links that help improve our student learning outcomes. We are well aware that at Our Lady's, children are often coming to school without breakfast. We have a new initiative, available each Tuesday morning we have a delivery of freshly made muffins coming in. We thank Pangerang House for organising and delivering these muffins each week. Muffins are available from the office.
In closing, I wish all families a very Merry Christmas and a Happy New Year. I appreciate the never ending support from our community as we work together for the best possible outcomes for our children. I hope that everyone manages to have a little bit of a break over the holiday period and look forward to all the exciting changes coming in 2025. Please see below a letter from our Director, Kate Fogarty, touching base on this exciting changes coming our way. We are so fortunate to be working in a system that is pushing for the best possible student outcomes.
Blessings,
Cassie
