2025 Summary  |  New 2026 Captains

We mark the end of another successful year for the SRC, having run fortnightly open meetings for students to discuss their opinion on school related issues and planned events for the school. This year we have:

  • organised the Big Freeze
  • sold baked goods every week for Semester 2
  • hosted NAIDOC Week
  • hosted Wellbeing Week
  • held Chelt's Got Talent
  • began working towards a solution for Cheltenham Sec’s litter problem
  • began creating names and sending out surveys for new building names.

New Captains have now been selected, and the school has moved to a new system with only middle school and senior school:

Year 12:

* James Polygenis - Captain

* Emily Campbell - Captain

* Julian Hansen - Vice Captain

* Anastasia Grigoropoulos - Vice Captain

Year 9:

* Julian Roufail - Captain

* Mishadeta Curson - Vice Captain

Year 8:

* Oliver Sackville - Captain

* Daksh Kunder - Vice Captain

We can’t wait to be part of the new build next year, and are looking forward to running more amazing events like Cultural Diversity Week and the 2026 Big Freeze.

On Monday the 8th December our new school captains along with other SRC members and leaders began planning ahead for 2026 to facilitate events. Our discussion scheduled our weekly Term 1 bake sales, SRC next year will now meet more regularly once a week and the facilitation of leader-led events such as International Women's Day and Harmony Day.

We are excited to keep improving the school again next year and hope to see more people at our meetings. But for now, the SRC would like to say thank you for helping to keep Cheltenham Secondary College a safe and inclusive school.
