Wheelchair Basketball

What a fantastic effort from the Year 8 students who took part in the Wheelchair Basketball incursion last Friday!

Through a great initiative by our Wellbeing Team and PE/Health Domain, over 60 students had the chance to jump in a chair and try their hand at the sport. It was brilliant to see everyone having a go, learning new skills, and gaining a real appreciation for the athleticism required in para-sports. 

Students learnt the skill of maneuvering the chair around the court with some races and relays as well as the skills of shooting and dribbling, finishing with a game of basketball.

There were plenty of smiles, a few crashes, and some impressive skills on display. A huge thank you to Basketball Victoria for running the sessions!

Summer of Cricket 2026

Congratulations to the following students who, through their local club cricket endeavours at Le Page Cricket Club, have qualified to participate in representative cricket throughout the Summer.

Baseball in Taiwan

Congratulations and good luck to Matthew F., who was selected for the Under 18 Development Squad. From the Moorabbin Panthers Baseball Club, Matthew is currently in Taiwan and representing Victoria at the Australian Youth Championships. 

Since starting Year 7 at Chelt.Sec, Matthew has been the go-to student for all things baseball. We look forward to seeing Matthew in 2026, when we will see him lead the charge to a Senior Beachside victory. Now a senior student, we hope to see him take on the role of coach to our Year 7 team.
