Swimming!
The first week of our swimming program has been a great success! 5/6 have been really working hard and listening to their instructors, and even after four days, the improvements in technique and stamina have been noticeable. Please remember to pack a little bit more food if your child needs it. The weather should be a bit cooler next week which will be nice for the staff sitting on the side of the pool!
Homework
No homework this week or next due to swimming.
Art Show
5/6 will be bringing home some of their fabulous artworks from last week's Art Show. We have some very talented students in our class!
Maths
This week, our Year 5/6 students have been learning to divide using a written algorithm, and some have been representing remainders as decimals. Students have been practising how to set out division problems using the vertical algorithm, strengthening their recall of multiplication and division facts. These skills are helping students develop greater confidence and accuracy when solving division problems and applying their mathematical understanding.
