Snapshot of Weeks 2 & 3
What a great start to swimming the Foundation students have had! They have been developing their confidence in the water, learning important water safety skills and practising new swimming techniques. It has been wonderful to see students challenging themselves, supporting their friends and showing resilience as they try new things. We are so proud of their enthusiasm, bravery and willingness to give everything a go, and we look forward to seeing their confidence continue to grow over the coming lessons!
Library Visit
The Foundation's enjoyed visiting the library this week after a busy week swimming, they enjoyed sitting down and having some time to enjoy a good book! Don't forget to bring your library bags on Wednesdays!
Tricky Words
The Foundation students have been practising reading and writing their Tricky Words! They are trying their best to learn as many words from phonics phases 1-4 as possible by the end of the Term! It's been great to see so many of them practising at home too!
Sentence Writing
This Term, the Foundation students are doing lots more sentence writing with some to little support! They have started off so well! Keep up the great work, Foundations!
Birthday Celebrations
I loved celebrating my 30th with the kids! We had such a special day!!!
Upcoming Excursion- December 2nd TBC
This Term in Inquiry, we are planning on doing a lot of learning about the town of Yarra Junction and about people of a different generation. We are planning on having a Scavenger Hunt excursion and a walk down to Yarra Junction, including visiting the Yarra Junction Museum. We would love to invite parents and carers to join us for the walk and fun day, including a shared lunch at the park to end the day. If you think you would be interested in joining us, it would be great if you could complete the Parent Helper Course and have a current WWCC. Once you have completed these things, you are eligible to help out at school events and on excursions.
