Nominate a Teacher for Australia's Best Teacher Awards

Gallery Image

At the heart of every Melbourne Archdiocese Catholic Schools (MACS) school are teachers who create vibrant centres of learning, nurturing their students to grow academically, socially, emotionally and spiritually.

The Australia's Best Teachers campaign celebrates and recognises exceptional educators who make a lasting difference in the lives of young people and their communities.

An expert judging panel will review nominations and shortlist outstanding educators for recognition as one of Australia's Top 50 Best Teachers. The successful nominees will be announced in The Herald Sun and nationally across News Corp publications in July.

This year, six MACS teachers will be selected for special recognition, providing a wonderful opportunity to celebrate the dedication, passion and impact of teachers across our Catholic school community.

Do you know a teacher who brings something extraordinary to their classroom and community? Perhaps they inspire a love of learning, go above and beyond to support students, or make a meaningful contribution to school life. If so, we encourage you to nominate them for this prestigious award.

This is a wonderful opportunity to acknowledge the remarkable educators who help shape the lives of our children every day.  Simply click on the link below or scan the QR code.

Rainy Day School Pick-up Reminder

As we move into the wetter months, we would like to remind all families to take extra care during school pick-up times, particularly on rainy days when visibility is reduced, and traffic congestion can increase.

The safety of our students, families and staff is always our highest priority. We ask all parents and carers to ensure they park correctly, obey all road rules, and keep driveways, crossings, and access ways clear at all times. Please do not stop in areas that obstruct traffic flow or create unsafe conditions for pedestrians.

Our staff are present during pick-up to help ensure everyone can leave safely and efficiently. If a staff member asks you to move your vehicle or follow a particular direction, please do so promptly and courteously. These requests are made solely with the safety of all members of our school community in mind.

We would also like to reassure families that while the car park can appear very busy at dismissal, it typically empties by approximately 3:35 pm. If you arrive and cannot immediately find a parking space, we encourage you to simply drive around the block. In the two minutes it takes to return, most cars have departed, making access to the car park much easier.

Please remember that staff remain on duty after the bell and your child will be supervised while waiting to be collected. A calm and patient approach helps create a safer environment for everyone.

School Fee Reminder

School fee and levy statements were sent home to families this week. We ask all families to review their statements and ensure their accounts are up to date.

Unless you are currently making payments through a CDFpay arrangement, families should now have paid:

  • Term 1 Family Fee: $450

  • Curriculum Levy: $600 per child

A reminder that the following charges are due by 26th June:

  • Term 2 Family Fee: $450

  • Capital Levy: $300

Timely payment of fees and levies is important for the ongoing operation of the school. Fee income supports the delivery of educational programs, the maintenance of facilities, and the provision of resources that benefit all students. Staying up to date with payments also assists the school with cash flow planning and helps ensure fairness across our school community.

We encourage all families to download the CDFpay app to manage your school fee payments for the remainder of the year. CDFpay is our new, easy-to-use payment platform.

Getting Started with CDFpay

  1. Register for CDFpay.
  2. Tap the School Fees tile.
  3. Link your school fee account.
  4. Make a payment.
  5. Set up a payment plan.

If you have any questions regarding your account or are experiencing financial difficulties, please contact the school office as soon as possible. We are committed to working confidentially with families to establish suitable payment arrangements where required.

This Friday, we will celebrate the Feast of Corpus Christi (our school's Feast day). Families are warmly invited to join us for Mass at 9:15am.

Later in the day, students will enjoy a Sausage Sizzle and Zooper Dooper lunch. Each child will receive one sausage in bread and a Zooper Dooper. If this is not sufficient, students are welcome to bring additional food from home.

Our lunch order service will also be operating for students who do not wish to have a sausage.

We will finish the day with a movie afternoon and popcorn.
