Winter Wellness Reminder - Keeping Our CCK Community Healthy
Dear Families,
Winter is well and truly here, and with it comes an increase in colds, coughs, tummy bugs and other seasonal illnesses. We kindly ask families to keep children at home if they are unwell or showing symptoms such as persistent coughing, sneezing, runny noses, vomiting, diarrhoea, fever, or general lethargy.
While we understand that managing work and family commitments can be challenging, sending unwell children to school increases the risk of illness spreading throughout classrooms and our wider school community. This not only impacts other students but can also affect staff wellbeing and school operations.
A child who is feeling unwell is also unlikely to be able to fully participate in learning and often benefits most from rest and recovery at home.
Simple actions such as staying home when sick, covering coughs and sneezes, and practising good hand hygiene help protect everyone in our community.
The Raising Children Network has some very useful information on how to manage a cold and when to engage medical advice. Please see the link below

For further guidance on when children should remain home from school, please refer to the Healthdirect and Victorian Department of Health resources. Link below

Thank you for your support in helping us keep our students and staff healthy throughout the winter months.
Positive Behaviour for Learning
The weekly PBL rule is drawn from our Behaviour Matrix. Each week our children focus on a whole school rule that meets our five school expectations.
This week’s PBL focus is:
We are LEARNERS (Toilet)
We are learning to go before the bell and use break times for the toilet.
Wellbeing Support at Corpus Christi
If your child requires any wellbeing support, please do not hesitate to contact me so that we can work together to provide the right support.
