Dear Parents

Last week, we held another fantastic Athletics Carnival at St Francis Xavier, and what a wonderful day it was! A huge congratulations to all our students for their enthusiastic participation, as well as our dedicated staff and parent volunteers who helped make the day such a success.

A special congratulations goes to Merici House, who proudly took home both the Parent Teacher Race and the overall House Competition an incredible achievement and their first win in 9 years!

We were especially fortunate this year to have the support of Sports Pro Teachers, who assisted with timing our races and ran engaging, fun-filled activities for our K–2 students. Their contribution added an extra layer of excitement and organisation to an already memorable day.

As we move further into the term, students will be notified of their results and any progression to the Conference 2 Athletics Carnival, which will be held on Monday 3rd August (Week 3, Term 3). We look forward to celebrating their achievements and supporting those who advance to the next level.

There are plenty of exciting sporting opportunities still to come this term:

• Cross Country Championships – Tuesday 12th May at Eastern Creek
• Stage 2 AFL Inter-School Sport – Tuesday 23rd June (Week 10, Term 2)
• World Cup Jersey Day Fundraiser – Friday 26th June (Week 10, Term 2), as we come together to celebrate the 2026 World Cup and cheer on the Socceroos!

Thank you again to everyone who contributed to such a successful carnival. We are proud of the spirit, sportsmanship and enthusiasm shown by all our students.
