School Council

School Council Election

Thank you to those parents and students who have expressed interest in joining our School Council.

At the close of nominations for positions on the Belmont High School council, the following nominations were received for the two vacancies for parent membership category:

• Aleta Moriarty
• Dal Sunar
• Merran Stewart
• Carlos Nevado

At the close of nominations for positions on the Belmont High School council, the following nominations were received for the two vacancies for student membership category:

• Hannah Godfrey
• Liam Carney
• Braydn Beckwith-Smith

An election ballot will be held with voting closing at 4.00pm, Wednesday 4th March 2026. Ballot papers will be distributed to students on Tuesday 24th February to take home. 

All parents of a student at the school are eligible to vote in the parent member category unless they are a department employee (including a school council employee) who is working at, and for, the school.  

All students are eligible to vote in the student member category.

Completed ballot papers must be placed in a blank envelope and posted/delivered to the ballot box at the school office and voters must have their name marked off the voting register.
