Year 2

Throughout this week, the year two students have embarked on a narrative writing journey, drawing inspiration from Phil Cummings book "Boy," and writing their own narrative story with a twist. They also explored Auslan (Australian Sign Language) as a means of communication, just like the main character in the story. 

In science, year one and two reached the final stage of the scientific process, testing the waterproof capabilities of their shelters, constructed entirely from natural materials. As a class they performed a fair test to find the most successful designs. The students all agreed they are relieved that their own homes are not, in fact, constructed from sticks and leaves!
