Kindergarten & Year 1

Jacqueline Pribilovics, Fiona Brookes, Danielle McClure

Last week Kindergarten, Year 1 and Year 2 celebrated mass with Father Michael. The theme for the mass was friendship. The children thanked God for all their friends and family.

After mass we walked down to Queens Park to share lunch with our friends. It was so lovely to have so many parents and grandparents join us.

This term Year One have been learning to retell narratives. Here are a few excerpts of some students' independent writing.

Alexander T Wolf has brown fur and a small bowtie. He is kind and calm. He has small eyes and wears a black and white striped jacket. He has pointy ears and wears glasses. He is thoughtful, focused and more importantly innocent.

Scarlett, Year 1

Little Red Riding Hood is a sweet little girl. She is thoughtful and kind. She loves her cherry red cape that her grandmother made for her. She walked along the wavy path. She could see tall, green trees.

Amelie, Year 1

Luckily, Big Billy Goat Gruff was not afraid of the ugly, stinky, green troll. He lowered his head and stomped his feet and then his horns pushed the ugly, green troll off the bridge. He was never seen again. The Big Billy Goat Gruff continued trip trapping over the bridge.

Angeli- Year 1

Luckily, Big Billy Goat Gruff was not afraid of the big, green ugly troll. He stomped his feet and butted his horns. “Splash!” the troll was washed away in the river.
