🍕 Food & Mealtime

On the first night everyone had some pasta, garlic bread and ice cream. On the second day for breakfast we had hashbrowns, eggs, cereal  and toast.  For lunch we had a chicken sandwich and for dinner, chicken gravy, potato and chocolate mousse. We also ate pancakes and beef burgers. It was pretty good food. After each meal a group was chosen to clean the dining room tables. Most of us liked the food. It was pretty good.

🛏️ Cabins & Sleeping 

When we got there we all wanted to jump off the bus in eagerness to find out our cabin groups. Some people wanted to stay up all night thumping on the walls while others wanted to sleep . In the morning there were a lot of tired faces . The cabins were great and everyone loved camp .

🌙 Night Games

When it was night time on the first day we all sat in the barn on a nice mystical night. We were going to do our first activity for the night. It was called Splash. We played a series of games which were really fun.

Later we watched the Bee Movie. It was about a bee who defended the bees rights because their honey was stolen without their rights.

On the second night we went outside to a campfire. The stars were shining down on us, IT WAS BEAUTIFUL! We played games and sang songs. It was a once in a lifetime opportunity.

🧗 Adventure Activities

There were a variety of different activities that were fun. Our favourite 

activities were the Flying Fox, Giant swing and Abseiling but there were many more. Almost all the activities made everyone tired because they were so fun. The activities made camp so much fun. Even some of the teachers tried doing archery. Overall camp was a wonderful experience.

👩‍🏫 Camp Instructors

The camp instructors were funny and helped us when we needed help. They encouraged us to do all the activities and made sure everyone was included. They all showed us how to be safe in the activities & have fun. They learnt our names really quickly.

🤝 Teamwork & Friendships

We used a lot of teamwork skills like helping each other with the harnesses for Rock Climbing, the Flying fox, abseiling and the Giant Swing. We worked together during the Bush Craft activity.  It was vitally important that we used teamwork as we had to build a group shelter to withstand different weather environments. We also forged many friendships  including ones with amazing group directors. It was an amazing experience and we will never forget it.

💪 Challenges & Risk Taking

There were many activities and challenges to face, such as abseiling, rock climbing and the giant swing. They all required  a lot of courage and helped people face their fears. We all had  a lot  of fun doing all  the activities and everyone was bold and got past their fears eventually, even though it was a little daunting.

😂 Funny Moments

Rose -Some funny memories we had was when I went on the giant swing with Natasha and I tricked her by saying the person on the right had to chop the rope, Natasha was so mad at me. When we dropped, Natasha and I screamed so loud that the kangaroos hopped away.

Natasha - A funny moment I had with my friends at camp this year was definitely when we went to bush craft and we made a tent with ropes and a tarp. After we had finished decorating the tent Desi, Rose, Hannah and I all tried to fit in the tent.  Desi made pasta out of plants and put it on a log and said it was going to be dinner.

Maddie – A funny moment that l experienced on camp was when Rose tried to throw my croc at me but she missed and fell on the floor instead, which made everyone in our cabin laugh and then we got in trouble for being too loud.

⭐ Favourite Camp Memories

Our favourite camp memories were doing all the activities because they were all fun and exhilarating.  Everyone made stronger relationships with their friends. A memorable moment was when Connor dressed up in Aj’s clothes.

The bush fire on the last night was great and we laughed as we watched Daisy being hit with water balloons one evening.

🌳 Campgrounds & Environment

Campaspe Downs, Kyneton was cold, muddy and slippery. A lot of people fell over between walking to activities. The campsite was huge. We saw a lot of kangaroos and their joeys. There were also a lot of rabbits. There was a dining room, a barn and a lot of risk taking activities on the camp site. Our cabins were spacious and warm.

🚌 The Bus Trip & Journey

Camp taught us to try new things and to face our fears.

During activities and whilst we were in our cabins, we made new friends and had a lot of fun. We learnt to cooperate with new people in groups and make things we didn't think were possible to make. Everything was lots of fun and if we didn’t want to do something they didn’t make us do it. This built our resilience to push ourselves.  If we had to summarise camp in one sentence it would be WE LOVED CAMP!!!
