WHAT'S ON AT WHSC

Book Week
Book Week 2026 is fast approaching! This year's celebration will take place from 22–28 August, with the inspiring theme "Symphony of Stories."
This year's theme celebrates the magic of storytelling and the way books bring together a wonderful harmony of voices, ideas, and adventures.
As part of our celebrations, students are invited to enter our Book Week Writing Competition. Competition flyers, containing everything students need to know—including the writing prompts, competition rules, prizes, and closing date—will be distributed and displayed throughout the Library.
This year you will find all prizes in the Library display case to inspire creativity and encourage as many students as possible to get involved.
Courage to Care incursion - feedback
We are incredibly proud of our Year 9 students and wanted to share some wonderful feedback from today's Courage to Care incursion, held across Periods 3 and 4 on Friday 7 August.
At the conclusion of the sessions, the presenters shared that, of all the schools they have visited and presented to, the Wheelers Hill Secondary College Year 9 cohort was the most respectful and best-behaved group they have had the privilege of working with. This is an exceptional compliment and a testament to the character of our students.
Thank you to every Year 9 student for the maturity, empathy and genuine engagement you demonstrated throughout the presentations. You listened attentively, participated thoughtfully and represented our college with pride.
Most importantly, you truly lived and breathed our college values of Respect and Excellence.
Your positive attitude and outstanding behaviour did not go unnoticed and reflected incredibly well on our entire school community.
Be proud of yourselves—you should all be congratulated on this fantastic achievement. Well done, Year 9!
