Family Prayer for the Assumption of Mary

This week we celebrated the Assumption of Mary. We remember that Mary, the mother of Jesus, was taken into heaven and is with God. Mary reminds us to trust God, love others and say “yes” to God’s call.

Dear God,

Thank you for the gift of Mary, the mother of Jesus and our mother in faith.

Mary trusted you throughout her life.

She followed you with courage, even when she did not know what would happen next.

Help our family to be like Mary.

Help us to listen to you, to care for one another,  and to trust you when life is difficult.

Mary, pray for our family.

Help us to bring love, kindness and hope to the people around us.

May we always remember that we are loved by God and that you are with us on our journey.

After the prayer, talk together:

• What do you think Mary teaches us about trusting God?
• When is it difficult for our family to trust God?
• How can we show love and kindness to someone this week, like Mary did?

Mary, Mother of Jesus, pray for us. 🌹 Amen.

Special invitation for Prep Families,

We warmly invite Prep parents and children to join us for a special Faith Workshop where we will explore God’s great love for us. Together, we will reflect, pray, and participate in activities that help us discover how God is always with us, cares for us, and loves each of us uniquely.

Parents are invited to come along with their child and share this special faith experience together. Please collect your child from their classroom and bring them to the chapel at the scheduled time.

We look forward to sharing this special moment of faith, connection, and learning with our Prep community.
