Principal's Report
It is hard to believe we are already halfway through another amazing term at Millwarra Primary School! It has been wonderful to see so much exciting learning, community involvement and student engagement happening across both campuses. Our students continue to impress us with their enthusiasm, creativity and kindness each day.
Grade 5/6 Change Squad
Last Friday, I was lucky enough to attend the Grade 5/6 Change Makers Day at the Yarra Ranges Council with our senior students. It was such an amazing and inspirational day! I am very excited to see their ideas continue to develop into proposals for the next stage of the program.
Special Music Performance – Killester College
We were very excited to welcome students and staff from Killester College for a special afternoon of music making this afternoon. Their Concert Band, Junior Band and Soul Collective performed for our students, creating a fantastic atmosphere and giving everyone a wonderful musical experience. A huge thank you to Killester College for visiting us once again!
District Cross Country
Today, some of our Senior students participated in the District Cross Country event at Wesburn Park. Our students represented the school beautifully, showing great determination, resilience and sportsmanship throughout the day. We are incredibly proud of the way they encouraged one another, challenged themselves and displayed our school values while competing. Well done to all students involved!
Upcoming Curriculum Day
On Monday, 15 June, Millwarra Primary School will be holding a Curriculum Day to provide staff with dedicated time to work together on planning, assessment and curriculum development. These days are an important part of ensuring we continue to deliver high-quality teaching and learning programs across both campuses. Staff will be working closely with our Curriculum Leader, Grace Barnard, to strengthen consistent instructional practices, collaborative planning processes and student learning programs. We appreciate the ongoing support of our school community as we continue to invest in the best possible outcomes for our students.
School Photos
A reminder to families that our School Photos will take place on Wednesday, 10 June. Further information regarding ordering and photo packages will be shared with families shortly through Compass.
School Disco Returns for 2026!
After the wonderful success of last year’s School Disco, we are excited to announce that it will be returning again this year on Friday, 19 June from 6:00pm – 7:30pm. The disco was such a fantastic community event, with students having a great time dancing, socialising and enjoying a fun night together. We are looking forward to another exciting evening for our students and families. More information has been shared on Compass.

Families interested in joining Millwarra Primary School are encouraged to get in touch throughout Term 2, with enrolment enquiries and school tours available across all year levels. Visiting our school is a wonderful opportunity to experience the welcoming atmosphere of our campuses, explore our engaging learning programs and meet our dedicated staff.
