SCHOOL NEWS:

Kerang Technical High School is excited to share some fantastic news with our School Community:
Members of our Physical Education team — Ms Ferrier, Mr Henry and Mr Murphy — were recently successful in securing funding through the Active Schools Grant.
This grant, together with the support and commitment from our School Council and Active Schools Extra Curricular funding.
So, what is an “Active School”?
An active school encourages physical activity beyond traditional PE classes and organised sport. It promotes movement at every opportunity throughout the day — before school, during class time, at recess and lunch, and after school. Rather than being limited to the gym or oval, physical activity becomes part of everyday school life.
Following consultation with Active Schools – Physical Activity Advisor Jade Hunter, School Leadership and School Council, we are thrilled to announce that we will be installing a Ninja Park as part of this initiative. With the strong support of School Council and additional funding through the Active Schools Extra Curricular program, this exciting project has become a reality.
A Ninja Park is an obstacle-based activity space designed to challenge students in a fun and engaging way. It offers a range of benefits, including:
- Encouraging active play and movement during breaks, helping students stay engaged and energised;
- Developing strength, coordination, balance and overall fitness;
- Providing an inclusive space where students of all abilities can participate and challenge themselves at their own level;
- Promoting resilience and perseverance as students learn to navigate and improve on the course.
We are incredibly excited about the opportunities this will bring for our students and look forward to seeing our School Community become even more active, engaged and connected.
REMINDER TO ALL COOKERY CLASS STUDENTS:
