Performing Arts
Showcase - Music!
Congratulations to students and staff for a very celebratory co-curricular music Showcase on Thursday 19 October. All the ensembles performed, as well as many students taking Creative Music Lessons. We farewelled our four Year 12 students, and celebrated their time in Performing Arts from Year 7.
Thanks to Rachel Andrews and Michael Cooper for their work with Marian Choir United, and to Adele Profeta and Csilla Schild for lighting and sound support, and to Mhairi Shepherd for staying with us and cheering us on! Thanks also to Mr Pisani, Ms Goddard, and Ms Williams for their support.
What's next? Creative Music students are completing their lessons for the year. Senior Ensemble and the Marian Choir United are preparing to play and sing at the Year 12 Graduation Mass, whilst Choir are also preparing Christmas music for the Year 7-9 Mass at the end of the year. Concert Band are welcoming Year 7 students to prepare Christmas carols, and Play Ukelele are also learning Christmas carols.
We are also excited to be holding our first co-curricular Drama Club Showcase on Tuesday 21 November! Like the Music Showcase, everyone is welcome, there is no need to book, and there is no charge. The evening will run from 7-8.30pm, and we'll be seeing the two plays that Drama Club have been working on this year.
