Year 12 Celebration Day

The following morning we gathered for breakfast with our Graduating Class of 2023.

This gave our Year 12’s the opportunity to utilise a photo booth and get their Graduating Bears signed by staff and fellow peers before they were presented to the school community for the last time.

They danced, they acknowledged all of the community who had supported them to this point and shared their memories via their video production.

Finally, to farewell them, all of the other year levels gave them a guard of honour as they left the school for life beyond Marian.

For some that has meant completing exams that started on Tuesday 24 October and for others work placements and job opportunities.

We look forward to celebrating with all of the Graduating Class of 2023 and their families after exams on 22 November.

In the meantime, we wish all of those students completing exams over the next few weeks all the best for the road ahead.

New Leaders for 2024

With the farewell and goodbyes associated with our Year 12’s leaving it is also an exciting time for our Year 11 cohort as we work through the process of selection of our Lamp Bearers and senior Student Representative Council for 2024.

Uniform Update

We are in consultation with our uniform supplier Noone about possible changes to our uniform.

These include a longer scarf, more options for the school shorts for Physical Education, some variation on the sports tracksuit pants and a warmer option for the PE jacket. We look forward in future editions of the Marian of giving our families updates on the progress of the roll out of these items.

We thank our Student Representative Council for the review of the uniform items and their recommendations to Mr Pisani on the ways in which the uniform can be improved from a student and school perspective.

As we move towards the end of 2023, and we begin the planning for 2024, it is a matter of so much to do and so little time. However, we will keep you informed on our progress as we begin to put into place our plans for 2024.

In the meantime, may we celebrate what we have achieved and look forward to the road ahead…
