Mr Irwin's Message

Hello families and welcome to this week’s newsletter!

I want to start this week by giving a huge shout out to our middle school students who attended Lady Northcote Camp in Bacchus Marsh. It was a privilege to take the students on this experience because of the way they behaved and participated in all camp activities. School camps are such an important life experience for students and it was pleasing to see how all students immersed themselves in the opportunity.

Of course, Camps don’t go ahead without the hard work and dedication of our staff. So a much thanks to our team of teachers and support staff who gave up their time away from families to provide this opportunity for students.

School Grounds Update

This morning I jumped the fence and went for a quick walk through our new oval and soccer pitch facilities. It was exciting to see how far they’ve and how good they’re looking nearing completion. The far end of the school yard will include a staff carpark, a soccer pitch and oval, which includes a pop-up irrigation system. The oval has now been hydroseeded and with a good watering and wet spring will hopefully be looking lush and green in no time! The final works to be completed in this area is a new boundary fence and barrier behind the north end of the soccer pitch.

Further to this work over the holiday period we will have additional landscaping works completed across the existing yard including planting of garden beds, installing of sleeper edging to make them easier to maintain and installing an additional turf area at the front of the school.

Our grounds have copped their fair whack over the course of the 2025 year including a new septic system, trenching of services for the Early Learning Centre and installing of new ramps to improve accessibility. I hope by the beginning of 2026 they’re near completion and starting to resemble a beautiful play space for students we can all be proud of.

The Silly Season is Upon Us!

Finally this week a reminder to take note of upcoming dates and times as we edge closer to the end of the year. We look forward to celebrating with our year 6 students at their graduation and our final assembly, performing at the Teesdale Christmas Market, having our fun days and practicing in our classes for next year! Please make sure you take the time to be around these dates so you don’t miss anything!

Bye for now!
