Principals Report from Mr Levy
It has been a fantastic start to the year for our students, particularly those in Outdoor Education. Throughout Term 1, they have been able to experience numerous outdoor adventures around the state, enriching their learning with real-world experiences. Some highlights include:
- Bushwalks to Lorne and Mt Stirling
- Surfing in Anglesea
- Snorkelling at Indented Heads
- Visits to the NGV and Sovereign Hill
Our VCE Drama students have also had the opportunity to expand their cultural horizons by attending several remarkable performances, including Robot Dog, 37, and Jekyll & Hyde. Meanwhile, Physics students had the exciting chance to explore the thrill of Luna Park and the Grand Prix.
In Outdoor Photography, students have been perfecting their craft through field trips to Werribee Zoo and the local wetlands, capturing the beauty of the world around them. As usual, our interschool sports programs have been off to a great start, with many students showcasing their skills and sportsmanship.
Our VM students have been busy engaging with the local community. They’ve had the chance to read to primary school students, contribute to the development of a Kitchen Garden, and get started on their VET programs. It’s been a wonderful term of community involvement and hands-on learning.
I would also like to bring your attention to the SPARK Engineering Camp, which will be running during the July school holidays. This camp is an exciting FREE opportunity for students to explore engineering in a practical and engaging environment. Please see the attached flyer for more information and the application process: SPARK Engineering Camp – Flyer and Application Details
