Best Wishes to the Class of 2026

On Friday 16 October, we farewell the Class of 2026 as they conclude their formal classes at St Joseph’s College and prepare for the final stage of their secondary schooling journey.

It is with great pride that we reflect on the growth and development of our Year 12 students over the past six years. Throughout their time at the College, they have demonstrated resilience, adaptability and determination, navigating the many challenges and opportunities that have shaped their learning and personal growth. We have watched them mature into young adults who bring their own strengths, talents, perspectives and aspirations to our College community.

As many of our Year 12 students enter their final period of revision and prepare for their upcoming examinations, we encourage them to approach this time with confidence, focus and a belief in the progress they have made. We hope they take the opportunity to reflect on how far they have come, draw on the support of their teachers, families and peers, and maintain a healthy balance as they work towards their goals.

While Thursday marks the end of formal classes, it is also a celebration of the many memories, friendships, achievements and experiences that have made their time at St Joseph’s College so meaningful. Our Year 12 students leave with more than an academic record; they take with them the values, relationships and experiences that will continue to guide them in the years ahead.

To the Class of 2026, thank you for the contribution you have made to our College community. We wish you every success in your examinations and, more importantly, in the exciting opportunities and adventures that lie ahead. May you continue to live with courage, kindness and a commitment to making a positive difference in the world.

Farewell, Class of 2026. We are proud of you, we believe in you, and we wish you every happiness and success for the future!

Year 12  End of Semester Reports will be available on Monday 19 October. For Year 11 students who have accelerated into a Year 12 subject, they will receive the report for their Year 12 subject with their End of Semester Report at the end of the year.

Step Up to Senior School Program - Parent Information Nights

On Monday 9 November, St Joseph’s College will host two Step Up Information Sessions to support families as they prepare for the transition of their student into senior schooling.

Step Up to Senior School – Year 9 Parents/Carers

6pm – 6.45 pm | Brigidine Hall

This session will help Year 9 families understand the expectations of senior schooling and how to prepare their students for success. Key areas of focus will include academic readiness, effective study habits, organisation, engagement and the importance of students taking greater ownership of their learning and responsibilities.

Step Up to VCE and VCE VM – Year 10 Parents/Carers

7pm – 7.45 pm | Brigidine Hall and Library

This session will provide families of students entering VCE and VCE VM with an overview of senior school expectations and the practices needed to succeed. The session will begin with shared information before separating into pathway-specific discussions.

Families of students undertaking VCE will receive further information about the demands of the VCE, assessment requirements, study scores, the ATAR and the academic habits that support achievement.

Families of students undertaking VCE VM will meet with the Work-Related Skills team in the Library to discuss program expectations, work placement requirements, and the importance of engagement, organisation and personal responsibility in meeting course requirements.

These sessions are an important opportunity for families to gain a clear understanding of the expectations of senior schooling and how they can support their young people to make a successful transition into their chosen pathway.
