U15 Girls AFL - MIA Junior Cup Wrap Up

Leeton

Yo legends! Yesterday our U15 Girls absolutely slayed at the MIA Junior Cup in Leeton – and even though the scoreboard didn’t always go our way, the vibe, effort, and shigma energy were totally next level.

The girls rocked up pumped and eager to go. With guernseys on and pink zink and ribbons prepped to slay, they were ready to cook up some footy magic.

Round 1 vs Temora

Temora came in with some serious guns – we’re talking power kicks, fast plays, and some tall timber. Our girls took a little to warm up, and by the time the second half hit, we were just starting to rizz it up. But it was a bit too late – Temora took the dub this time.

Match 2 vs Wade

Wade came in heavy – literally. Big tackles, long kicks, and hard runs. But our girls weren’t backing down. They drove their legs like beasts, laid some cooked tackles and chased like mad. We saw heaps more grit, but Wade was just too strong in the end.

Match 3 vs Hillston

Now THIS is where the girls hit peak form. Determined to bounce back and show their true colours, they chased, tackled, and kicked like total machines. The sidelines were full of rizz with cheering, chants, and coaching tips flying in hot. The girls dominated – sending Hillston back to the west with a solid win. Let's gooo!

Player Highlights

· Dez, Isla, and Sienna – tackling so fierce we swear they were magnetised to the ball.

· Sarah & Gabby – applying pressure like they were born for it.

· Alice & Tess – absolute bosses in the ruck, crashing packs and giving clean taps.

· Sam – ran like lightning and booted it with serious fire.

· Milla & Xanthe – strong AF on the flanks, creating real play.

· Gemma – a GOAL-KICKING MACHINE. Banged in a trifecta through the big sticks.

· Year 7 power trio Gwen, Elsie & Tully – tiny but mighty, non-stop hustle all day long.

· Isabelle C – great chase-downs, never gave up.

· Chelsea L – took some marks that were just chef’s kiss.

· Chelsea C – elite handballs, clean under pressure.

· Ella – pure entertainment. Let’s just say her kicking form was... uniquely hilarious. But hey, footy’s more fun with a laugh!

And major props to Mr Dore who brought elite coach energy from the sidelines, yelling “Drive those legs, girls!” like it was an AFL grand final. Also huge shoutout to Bellah and Charlie, our supercoaches, who kept the team organised, hyped, and full of footy IQ – legends.

It was an epic day of footy fun, fierce competition, and team spirit. The skills got sharper every game, the vibes were high, and the U15 Girls showed us what it means to bring heart, hustle, and humour to the field. Massive effort, girls. Absolute units.
