Principals Message

As we approach the mid-year mark, I am proud to reflect on the achievements and events that have enriched our school community over the past six months. We have seen success across all areas of school life – academic, sporting, agricultural, school and community service.

Semester two promises to be just as busy and eventful with many and varied opportunities for all students to engage in.

Congratulations to the students recognised at last week’s Formal Assembly. These students have demonstrated outstanding academic dedication. The recent awards ceremony highlighted their hard work and commitment to excellence. It was inspiring to see so many students recognised for their achievements across various subjects, for their outstanding attendance and for reaching the higher levels of our PBL levels.

Term 3 will see us begin the subject selection process for students in Years 11, 10 and 8. All parents and students in Years 10 and 11 are invited to attend the subject selection information evening on Wednesday July 30 starting at 6pm in the Hall. Students and their families will receive their information booklet, be able to speak to Stage 6 expert teachers to ensure they have the relevant information and understand the expectations of each subject. Students in Year 8 will receive information and a subject selection booklet in Week 3. Students will be given information during a specially organised year meeting to ensure they understand the subject selection process and the expectations of each course. We ask that parents and families have conversations with their students in Years 8, 10 and 11 as they sign their subject forms to ensure students are making good choices.

As we move into the second half of the year, we remain committed to providing a supportive and challenging environment for all our students.

Thank you to all members of the school community for your ongoing support of our students in Semester 1 and I look forward to this continuing in Semester 2.
