Student Representative Council

Dear MSC Community,

We’re nearly halfway through Term 1, and things are starting to progress along swiftly. Just last week we had our first SRC meeting, where we collectively reflected on strengths, challenges, and opportunities at school. We did this by asking all student leaders what they believe we should keep, stop, and start in our school community. We then had a brief discussion on the Attitudes to School Survey, which is coming up later in the school year, addressing areas of concern and how we, as leaders, can improve the school and overcome any challenges we’re presented with.

We are looking forward to the 5 peaks challenge, which is being organized by the O’Neill House Captains. We also have Earth Hour and Ride to school day coming up, so ensure you get involved if possible - please read the attachment.

We would like to congratulate 4 students (Amelia Year 12, Jess Year 11, Amelia Year 9, Amanda Year 8) who will be representing the college at the Whitehorse International Women’s Day breakfast next week. We'd like to further congratulate our two student representatives on school council elected for 2025 – Teiva Levy and Caitlin Fankhauser.

Next week we will also be asking Year 7 students to consider applying for a year 7 leader position. This is a great way to find out more about our college SRC.

Finally, we’d love to thank all our House Captains for encouraging students to participate, supporting the sports staff, and putting in the hard work to organize and run a fantastic Swimming Carnival this year!
