Year 9 Science

This week in Year 9 Science, students have been learning about the role and functions of the human nervous system.  This then culminated in a hands-on dissection of a (sheep’s) brain. From this experience, the general shape and structure of the brain could be easily identified, as well as the white and grey matter within. Also noticeable was the firmer-feeling brainstem and walnut-like cerebellum.

All those who participated in the dissection should be commended for the curiosity, respect and safety which they displayed in the lab.
