Harmony Day Celebration at School – Friday 20 March 🧡🌏

On Friday 20 March, our school community will come together
to celebrate Harmony Day, a special day that recognises and celebrates the
cultural diversity that makes Australia such a vibrant and inclusive place to
live.
Students are encouraged to come to school wearing something
that represents their culture and/or a splash of orange. Orange is the official
colour of Harmony Day and represents respect, inclusiveness and a sense of
belonging for everyone. This is not a gold coin donation event.
Throughout the day, students will have the opportunity to
take part in a range of classroom activities that celebrate cultural diversity,
helping them learn more about different cultures, traditions and the importance of showing respect and kindness towards others.
Our Student Representative Council (SRC) team will also be
visiting classrooms to speak with students about the significance of Harmony
Day and why celebrating diversity is so important within our school and the
wider community.
Harmony Day reminds us that everyone belongs, and we are
proud to celebrate the many cultures, backgrounds and stories that make up our school community.
Please also note any catchup NAPLAN testing will also take place throughout the day.
We look forward to a wonderful day of learning, celebration
and connection! 🧡🌏
