Volleyball 2023 Round Up

The 2023 Volleyball program has officially come to a close. This term, teams competed in grueling multi day competitions, the Vic Open or the Australian Volleyball Schools Cup. All Eltham teams played with great spirit, sportsmanship and character. Each team and player should be proud of the growth and development they have made this year.

For the Vic Open, on the final day of competition, 11 of the 12 teams entered were playing for a medal. An incredible achievement. In the end Eltham High School walked away with 7 medals.

Four teams competed in the pinnacle school volleyball event. All four teams qualified for the Honours Division of the competition, meaning they played against the top three teams from every State. Our newest team, with no prior experience, described the competition: “each game is like a final”. Competition was fierce throughout the week. Eltham teams made the school proud with a collection of strong results and amazing determination. Fantastic character and resilience was demonstrated by each player and team throughout the week.
