Student Voice

Student Council
Over the past two terms, the Student Council has been working behind the scenes to make sure that the student voice gets heard and is celebrated in our school community.
The Student Council is excited to introduce new suggestion boxes for each year level! These boxes are still in the making but are being designed and created by the committee members to give all students a way to share ideas, feedback and suggestions for improving our school. By placing these suggestion boxes in the common areas, we hope to make it easier for every student to have their voices heard. Whether it’s ideas for school events, improvements to facilities, or ways to make school life even better, we encourage everyone to get involved.
Two weeks ago, the Student Council also held a short wellbeing and informative session for the Year 10s and 11s prior to their exams. We invited some teachers and held it in the library. The students gained insights on finding their paths in the future, exam advice, and participated in wellbeing crafts to help them de-stress. The session went well and students came out of it being more informed and less stressed, preparing them for the exams to come.
The Student Council looks forward to organising more informative sessions and continuing to implement student voice in our school from here on out.
