From the Sports Desk…

Maroondah T20 Cricket Blast: On Friday 27th October, 65 year 5 and 6 students attended the Maroondah T20 Cricket Blast Gala Day at Yarra Valley Grammar. All students who attended the event enjoyed a day out in the sunshine. We played other schools from our division including; Yarra Valley Grammar, Tinternvale, Donvale Christian College, Kalinda, Sacred Heart, Warranwood, Croydon Hills and Wonga Park.

In our pool games, we played 3 games with each game lasting 1 hour. In our last game of the day, we played finals against other pools. Games were played in the T20 Cricket format.

We had a BLAST at this wonderful event as it not only taught us the rules of cricket but also improved our skills. A huge thank you to all the parents who helped out on this day. It would not have been possible without you!!

Thank you also to Mrs Carbone, Mr McKibbin, Miss Munforte and Ms Grigg who gave up their time helping us too. We really appreciate it!

Congratulations to all teams who participated in the day. You should all be very proud of your team spirit and all of the effort you put into this!
