Good afternoon,
Thank you for your ongoing support in promoting Softball within your school community.
I’m excited to let you know about the 2023 Home Run Heroes Junior Softball Carnival on Sunday 3 December at Melbourne Softball Association, Fawkner Park, South Yarra. The event is for Junior T-Ballers and Softballers (12 & under) from across Victoria. This year, there will be a T-Ball competition for the new younger players (10U) and a Fastpitch Softball competition for the older 12U players, using modified Fully Loaded Softball rules.
School teams are welcome to register a team or individual students can register and be placed in a team. School teams will also be supported with an up and coming Softball Coach, Umpire and Scorer to help your team on the day. A parent 'Team Manager' will need to represent your team to work with these members of the Softball community and coordinate the players and families.
The whole day will be centred around FUN, COMMUNITY & PARTICIPATION.
There will be activities & prize giveaways throughout the day along with Food Trucks to add to the carnival atmosphere.
Players can test their skills against the Victorian State Team Players, get their autographs and grab a selfie.
Register your whole team via this link - Team entries for school teams are FREE!
Individuals who are new to Softball MUST be registered with Softball Victoria at a cost of $20 for the day. If a player goes on to join a local club, this is deducted from the season fees - INDIVIDUAL PLAYERS WHO ARE NEW TO SOFTBALL CAN REGISTER HERE
Team Entries close on Sunday 26 November 2023 at 9pm.
Please pass on the info to relevant PE teacher, Sport Coordinator, School team T-Ball coach, School team Softball Coach or any other relevant staff. It will also be appreciated if you could please include the attached flyer in your upcoming school newsletter or equivalent.
Please contact me if you have any questions regarding the event.
